500 days have passed since my frail sense of normalcy was ripped away
Like a whirlwind tearing apart my world,
shattering life as I knew it
Such a shock to the system

Now it seems that time is short
Can you feel the power’s end
What once was an ally is now the instrument of our undoing
This is the end

I’m standing here confused at a complete loss for words
Trying make sense of what I’m seeing around me while trying not to let this brooding perception of doom seep in and choke the life out of me.
It’s maddening. Don’t know who to believe, not sure which way to turn, I’m suffocating in my own anxiety.
Everywhere I turn, misinformation, lies, smiles to my face while cold steel slides in my back.
Brother versus brother as our will to survive is being tested.
When we should be banding together they find more and more ways to separate us!
This can’t be, we can’t give into this if we hope to survive.

Now it’s time to stand up for each other
Before we all fall in this struggle

We’ve been stripped of our feeling of community, traded in our brotherhood so that we can grasp at a false image of safety.
We have to wake up and see that we’re dying
We’re all dying
